I've been wanting one of these for the last 15 years, but never could justify buying one. Always bought the responsible vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Family haulers mostly.

Now that the kid has moved out and I've got a good truck, I finally picked one up!

2018 Mustang GT with 51k miles. Was a 1 owner vehicle with no accidents (according to Carfax), super clean, and bone stock.

Mods will be coming soon. Tuner, cold air intake, and a resonator delete to begin with. Long tube headers and a supercharger down the road.

Bigger sway bars and poly bushings.

Looks good, like the color.

Now that I've got ~400 miles of seat time in this car...

Man do I love it!

Cruises down the interstate like a Honda Accord (with a better exhaust note), but rips when you put the pedal down.

I've driven faster cars. Used to work for a shop that specializes in hot rods and drag cars ~15 years ago. Most of my motorcycles were significantly quicker...but that was 5+ years ago. It's been so long since I've had or driven anything fast, that this feels like a rocket.

It is amazing to me how good/fast modern sports cars have gotten.

Great pick up Will. I looked at a couple while waiting for my bucket list car.
Actually had a chance to buy a Darkhorse but it was 5k over MSRP.
What really impressed me is my SIL had a 16 with the 4cyl Turbo which I constantly talk junk about. That thing is a damn rocket!!! I just can’t get pass
The sound

Thanks man!

The Darkhorse is cool, but not at all worth over MSRP.

The 4 cylinder Ecoboost cars are no slouch. Over 300hp, and can be modded to make as much or mote power than the v8 cars...while sounding like absolute garbage.

LOL, to each their own.

I like cars that handle, so road racing is my go to.
Never got into drag racing.
Exactly that's what I was saying, it is such a versatile platform, drag race, road race, just daily drive, it can do it all with finesse.

It'll be a "do it all" car for me. I love drag racing, but this will be a daily driver that I'll likely take to the mountains on occasion, so I want it to handle well. But I'll eventually pick up a set of wheels for drag racing too.

Honestly, I'll be happy with ~600hp to the wheels, run high 10's, and still do everything else with it.

Love that color. I drove a cammed GT a couple weeks ago. Older than this one but holy shit that thing was fast. Never driven a car that strong. Broke traction when I changed it into 4th gear

So I've been to the drag strip twice now with this car.

First time I went was on the new wheels and x pipe with no other changes. Ran 12.04 @ 117.xx.

Second trip to the track, same setup with a custom tune. Went a 12.07 with a lot more wheel spin.

That of course frustrated me. So now I've got a set of drag radials, another pair of wheels, long tube headers, and full exhaust on the way. If I can't get a 11.99 out of it next trip to the track, I'm throwing the car in a dumpster. 🤣

Lemme know before you toss it. I’ll at least give you tree-fiddy so you’re not leaving empty-handed. 😳🤣
