Picked up this m&p 15-22 for what I consider a good deal. I have put 300 rounds through it so far and love it. But the trigger sucks! Lol can I install a standard ar15 trigger or does it take special ones? I will be replacing the truglo sight( it came with everything on it in pic) when it gives up. Best place/mfr for mags? Thanks

Yep, just like BigWaylan says,, Ive got one and its a hoot to shoot. Back a few years ago when I had weekends off, I used for the speed steel matches at PHA.. I did very well with a cheap green dot reflex sight and the drop in Gissele 3 gun trigger. I choose mine in the pink cammo just because the only choices back then were black.. The gun rack was filled with black guns all outfitted just about the same so guys were using stickers to ID theirs. So I went with the pink, no confusing mine. We would usually have about 30 shooters and while I never did win? I would wind up placing 5th-8th, not too bad for a 60 year old guy in the usual run and gun comps. Watta fun gun and not to bad accuracy wise either.

Concerning magazines, I just bought the Smith mags, the feed well and are durable. I have a total of 6,, three are still in the plastic and have never been used. I sold off the Gissele trigger, it was foolish of me to spend that kind of money on a trigger, it was just about the same as the rifle itself. But , It was nice and slicker..If I had to do the trigger again, think I would spend the $10 or so on the lighter weight springs and ad some moly lube to the contact points of the trigger and call it a day..

I think I will put a ALG defense trigger with JP springs in it. I have the same trigger in 2 other rifles and it works great and doesn't cost a ton!
