One of the frustrations I have had when interacting with people on various issues is the appalling level of ignorance expressed by people who argue for leftist/statist approaches to societal problems.
It is easy for me to revert to my "norm" which is sarcastic, vindictive, and sneering hatefulness. Mocking people is GREAT for my ego (and often gets me in a little acclamation circle, which I also like), but makes me very foolish. I wind up just pissing off people, and the issue becomes one of two egos competing rather than seeking truth.
I also recognize that SOME folk will simply never submit to clear, obvious, and unarguable fact. It does not matter how clear and concise and forceful the arguments are, nor matter how winsome and humbly they may be presented. Men love darkness, rather than light..... as the quote goes.
All that said, it seems better to me to say "you know, there are alternative sources of both facts and opinion that have been helpful to me. It might be better to read things that will challenge you, rather than simply confirm your bias. You might try reading some stuff from these sources." I am no longer interested in merely throwing rocks from my Limbaugh / Ben Shapiro refuge at the "liberals." One of the best things that has ever happened to me was discovering the "roots" of historic liberalism (weirdly enough, much of it has been renamed "conservatism"......we call it libertarianism today). It made me anti state, pro liberty, anti war, anti "morality laws," and implacably hostile to what I call "Bush Republicanism." In short, it has made me MUCH closer to the views of the founders, and to the stream of biblically influenced ideas about limited government and the sources of freedom.
I would put forth a few of these sources. Some are more or less liberty minded, but they are all out of the mainstream media current. Some are pro-Trump. Some not so much. I read MANY MANY more on a regular basis, but I put these out there because I think they are helpful in challenging the established narratives of "right and left."I find them all helpful, even when I disagree. I hope they are helpful:

https://www.theepochtimes.com/ (a new source... this is VERY good)

By the way, if anyone has a good site that deals with racism, "social justice," prejudice, societal norms on groups of people etc etc...., which is not just throwing brickbats, I would be appreciative. Especially desired would be people who write from a biblical perspective. I find tidbits here and there but no one good watering hole.
