I’m headed for the packey (ABC for youse non- Boston folks) because I heard that there is going to be a tequila shortage.
Also going to get limes and salt at Food Lion to keep things in balance.

Looks like I need to drink up before its all gone and I cant refill. What would I do without delicious 1 oz servings of Reposado from the likes of Clase Azul and Casa Migos.

I love my Mezcal. It's crept up to +/-$25 a fifth.

I am laying in a SHORT list of thigs to have when folks stop by that want to have a snort...so far only bought a bottle of Vodka. I bought a big bottle of Dixie brand simply because of the name and also meets all requirements of Vodka...Odorless, Colorless and Tasteless!!! I need help on A bourbon, A scotch and A Rum....your advice would be appreciated .....let's say a choice if No Price restriction and one with a Better Price. Thanks in advance!!!
I'm far from a heavy drinker, but that Woodford Reserve shown in the background above is a very good choice for a decent bourbon whiskey.

Knob Creek's small batch is pretty good bourbon. I am no expert and an occasional drinker but it is good sippin whiskey. I prefer bourbons with a higher octane than 80 proof. When the wife and I go out to the mountains for a weekend we shop at the ABC store for whiskey. We have tried a bunch over the last few years. Knob Creek is pretty good and it has a cool name.

Dixie Vodka.. I hope it is not like Old Mr Boston Vodka!

When I was in college in Boston, 4 of us guys had a 4 bedroom apartment with a fireplace In the living room. We worked very hard during the week but weekends were party time.

We were stocking up for the weekend at Kappy’s, a great discount liquor store, and found a 1/2 gallon bottle of Old Mr Boston Vodka for about the price of 3 GIQs (giant imperial quarts of Narragansett Beer).
What could go wrong? Vodka - odorless, colorless, tasteless and ALCOHOL.

The only problem was that when it got about 1/2 way down and burned like he11 - even when mixed with other stuff.
We put it on the fireplace mantel and took about 6 months of daring, joking, giving jerks what they deserved, and people sneaking a sample for it to disappear.

I am by no means an expert but I can give you a few decent options
Bourbon:
- Woodford Double Oaked, not cheap but I think it's good for what you pay and is very easy to find.
- Evan Williams single barrel/Elijah Craig small batch, hear me out, at $25-$35 for a fifth, you will not find anything better imo, and I do not feel bad mixing a bourbon drink with it.

- I'll second the knob creek too for a good affordable option.
- A good friend recommends the coopers craft, but I have yet to taste.

Rum:
- Plantation XO 20th, or 5-year gold
- Doorly's XO
You can pick most from either of these two distilleries. I'm taking aged Bajan rum over pretty much any other rum if my intent isn't to make rum and cokes. I have not had Mount Gay but I would feel comfortable picking up one of their better bottles and feel confident it's going to taste good.

I know nothing about Scotch.

I can help with scotch..
This is about $1,000 worth of Scotch.

Lagavulin and Laphroig are peaty tasting Isles.
Johnny Walker Black is OK, Blue is better, Red only for mixing,
Macallan 12 is good and 2018 Macallan 18 excellent - but 18 should be excellent at $750.00 a bottle. -
before you get carried away the 18 was a gift and the list price is going up each year…
