Next thing to sell out from CoronaVirus Panic...

Can't find sugar, so I'm having to resort to less in my coffee to stretch what we have. Probably better for me in the long run.

Kinda disappointed in myself that in all my preps I forgot bulk sugar.

Not that I have preps.

Stay away.

I have a teeny piece of land, but I've started to look at some deer that bounce around in my woods....as potential dinner! LoL. I'd have to nail them with a handgun, though.....not sure how that would go.

Right now the fridge and freezer are stocked, and I have a lot of canned stuff. So the deer are safe....for now! lol.
Don't shoot low and left. ;)

I'd like to thank all the asswipes who cleaned Walmart out of their children's allergy medicine. I hope you die of a Children's Zyrtec overdose, accompanied by lead poisoning
How old are your kids? Adult Zyrtec is fine for kids over 6. Limit to 10 mg a day per their website, not a medical professional so check yourself on their website.

Use honey if you have it or can get some.

Quit shopping at Walmart. I've not stepped foot in one since they decided to go all virtue-signalie last year. Hundreds of other small businesses need my money. Now they're a friggin Petri Dish of the dregs of mankind - haven't seen people fighting over TP in the aisles of the local convenience mart, Dollar General or Lowes.

The blue shop towels work well for making your own cleaning wipes.
We went to WM. A guy was walking around with two and an announcement came over the PA saying you're limited to one of a list of products, including paper products so he stashed one in a random shelf.

I’m not worried. I have a year’s supply (but I’m not telling how many that is).
two? it's two, isnt it?

haha

I bet you get some reddit or 4chan guys to start something about adult diapers and it'd be sold out too.
People are sheep.

Jayne, do you have any honey? The grocery store tonight had full shelves of honey.

I still have a 5 gal bucketful of honey that we will use if we run out of sugar.

Liquor stores closed at 7PM.

When you show up at 7:20, that’s an empty shelf.

sounds more like locked doors o_O

is this going to be cut hours daily or, like, CLOSED for a few weeks starting last night at 7?

Try some of your smaller local drug stores. Also, most rural country stores carry some children medicine.

In a pinch the five gallon buckets at Lowe’s work great for gas cans. They fit nicely inside the bed of a pick up truck.

they also carry elderberry syrup which can be better for most cold symptoms than the crap from China sold in a box in Wal-Hell.

When I last went to walmart just about a week ago, There had already been a run on cold medicine. The shelf was empty. My local food lion had plenty of cold medicine though. Just no paper products. If you need medicine, I'd say try some of your local grocery stores.

Ha. It is the best sausage I've ever had.
Much lower fat content than national or other cheap brands.

I forget his username but I’ve dealt with him here once a few years ago. I actually don’t like sausage so can’t say much there.

Well one of my top LGS’s is seeing a rush on shotguns ... 18.5” and 20” barreled ones are gone and buckshot it disappearing. People now want HD shotguns so that is one of the next. AR’s are picking up again ... and the full size Glocks also. He just got in a shipment from Defender Ammo and only was able to get 3 cases of 9mm ... no 5.56 he’s hoping for that tomorrow. He’s limiting ammo to 2 boxes per caliber now and he said it will likely be this way for at least a month or so.

He also teaches the CHP classes and told me a lot local Sheriffs (Wake and Durham for sure) have suspended fingerprinting and new CHP’s are going to be pretty much a no go ... he didn’t know about renewals.

Harris Teeter as of now
Paper products, meat and eggs, wiped out... My wife's Dad is on oxygen and jer Mom was told not to leave the house, so we were shopping for them

Drug cleared by Trump, FDA for coronavirus testing also found in fish tanks -- and prices online are soaring

President Trump says an old malaria drug called hydroxychloroquine has shown very encouraging early result against coronavirus

President Trump announced in a press conference Thursday that chloroquine phosphate -- a substance found in drugs used to treat malaria and severe arthritis -- was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to test as a treatment for the coronavirus.

That same substance, outside its pharmaceutical form, is used as an additive in aquariums to kill microscopic organisms that might harm fish and other aquatic animals. And, the prices for chloroquine phosphate have surged online in late February and early March, according to a study published Thursday, sparking fears that people may be ingesting the fish-tank additive in the hope it will combat COVID-19 illnesses.

The study, conducted by Storyful before Trump named the drug publicly Thursday, analyzed three identical listings from the same eBay seller, “thechemicalsource,” who opened bids on bottles of chloroquine phosphate used in aquariums for one week. Between February 25 and March 2, the price paid for a single 25-gram bottle of chloroquine phosphate skyrocketed from $9.99 to more than $500, the study said. The seller warned in each listing that the substance was not for human consumption.

In my humble opinion Millie...if things get so desperate that you are out of food and need to shoot a deer...just shoot it with a pistol. Try to hit the vital area, but there is no need to just shoot once...unload on that furry bugger and blast away. Its about survival. Your gun holds more than one bullet, freakin mag dump on Bambi and hope for the best.
