Raccoon -- the other dark meat

“This is one of the jumbos,” Wilson explained, holding the bag up for inspection. “We leave the paws on so people know they’re getting a raccoon, not somebody’s house cat.”

The raccoon hunting and trapping seasons ended a few weeks ago in Illinois. Although it may surprise many who dine on deep-dish pizza and Polish sausage, the bandit-masked critter is turning up in kitchens across the state.

I just happened to look at Nextdoor a few minutes ago while waiting on a computer repair guy to fix my work laptop. This one is probably going to be good.

Unfortunately, It looks like Edamar's post has been deleted on Nextdoor. I can't find it anymore. Shocking!

I've got a few ideas, I keep them in my safe.

The answer is: Leave the cat alone. She'll figure it out. She's not so stupid as to starve herself by staying up that tree.

Stupid people.

This is the ONLY time a kiki should be helped down out of a tree:

As far as Nextdoor goes, out here in the rural area and picking up some of Sanford it isn't too bad. Not a lot of Karens. As @fishgutzy said in an earlier post, official govt. information updates, scuttlebutt about things happening like strange salesmen or what happened to the house on XYZ street that burned down, etc.

I’m not on Facebook so I do miss laughing at Karen’s. Kinda want to join now.

I have it. There are some realtors who are good about telling everyone about all the new businesses that are coming. Beyond that, typical whining about fireworks, unleashed dogs, glass containers at the pool…Karen stuff.

Wife has it and she's always complaining that all that's posted seems to be lost dogs.
That's because people suck at keeping track of their pets.

There's a woman who keeps posting a lost cat flyer to stop signs and light posts all over my neighborhood. I really want to call her and tell her cats don't get lost. They leave and/or die.
You let the cat out to crap in your neighborhood's gardens and now he's not coming back...what do you think happened?

I'm behind enemy lines in MD now.
I deleted my ND account because the % of truth averse Karens is what one would expect. Got "reported" for offensive comments that are only offensive to people who hate truth.
Only left political views are acceptable.

I haven’t been on next door in over a year… ever since they banned me for suggesting that an idiot was an idiot.
A lady they thought I was a bad person because I asked people to stop using our property to take a shortcut to an HOA park.
When I mentioned that they were trespassing she went Karen and I said that only an idiot does not understand what trespassing is.
She complained and I was banned for awhile, but never returned.

BTW - I hope someone hit her pussy or some dog peed on her bush.

I think the cat is fertilizing the garden...by one means or another.
