I have an elderly neighbor who knows I work at the local gun store. He's probably knocking on 90 ish. Still farms, used to cut the hay here on the farm when my grandfather was farming here.

So he said he wanted me to clean up a pistol he had. Went by and picked it up this evening after work. Dusty, but been kept well. It's a high polish finish woth a nice trigger shoe installed. 15790437361866294406586944970615.jpg I'm gonna put the clean on it and get him a small case to put it in. Mention I really like it if he ever wants to part with it., :)

Around 1969...NICE!

Looks like it’s partially loaded. An idea why?

Definitely nickle. BLING! After a little scrubbing and polishing. I don't think it's been shot much.

It was partially loaded. He had three shells in it for some reason. I did remove them before the cleaning. He insisted that I keep the bullets as I might want to shoot it. Ha. No.

Man what a difference, good deal!

Yeah, it's got a trigger shoe and it appears that someone may have did a little bob job on that hammer.

OK ya got us...me and the ole man was havin a little shootin contest one day and I talked him inta a little Hammer Bob ta hep him with his draw. It worked too. He gotah here he could put his thumb over the remainin hammer and snatch and fire pretty damn quick.

I should consider this. It would remove the temptation to shoot SA.

If I was gonna pocket carry it, I wouldnt want any hammer really.... and looking at the ones you guys carry alot, This one sure is in nice shape. The stocks dont even have any wear.

So, when I took it back he ws really happy on how it looked. "That thing has stayed in a sock on my chest of drawers for years". I got him a little zip up case for it. He said whats it worth? I said "Im not gonna price a man's stuff." (can you tell i work at a gun store? haha) He said, "Welp I gave $75 .00 fer it about 10 years ago". I said that he did good, and if he ever wants to sell it, to let me know.
