Noon, near Fayetteville

This is too creepy!
Today is really the first day I've really noticed a huge decrease in traffic in and around Fayetteville......

You should feel creepy in Fayetteville all the time. My wife always said it was just like Hell except hotter.

@Millie you must have missed my pic of Ramsey St the other day at what is normally its busiest time.
I probably saw it, just didn't recognize the street name. I have a small number of places I go to there, so I don't know the area very well, ecxepting my regular "route".....

Such is our life in the jungle...

I work Fayetteville 3-4 days a week and I really like it there. The people I deal with mostly are either Military or Ex Military. Best customers in the world. Most have plenty of sense and know how to manage money so paying for a project or getting it financed is not a problem. Actually a much better territory than Myrtle Beach.

I was surprised at the level of traffic this afternoon after the stay-at-home order was issued...
I work in the bragg/sycamore area

We ought to liven it up a bit.

Coordinate a couple hundred people in brown monk's robes with wood planks in a solemn march down the street, all precisely formed up in exacting social distance of 6 feet apart chanting "pie jesu domine, dona eis requiem".

My wife said she needed to go the store for more of something we already have a 2 month supply of, so I wished her well and sent her off on her own.

I'm not a total jerk, I did send the drone up to watch her go...

I went to Lowes in hope mills. (Had to pick up some items for a small job). The place was packed. Plenty of folks buying gardening type items. I guess gardening/planting will give them something to do if they're shut in.
We went toBells downtown on Saturday...cars parked all over, like there was a fire sale...people were shoulder to shoulder...my wife got her stuff quick and we left, but folks were buying stuff like it was never going to be available again

I was there around 330pm, bent a lawn mower blade...

I can stand in my yard and hear saws, hammers, and all grades of other "work" coming from all directions. LOTS of people picking up the cans they've been kicking down the rd.

I need to make a Lowe's run for some lumber as well.

Really spooky is Europe. If you checkout various live feeds early in the morning here you see major tourist sites almost deserted. Here's a link to the Charles Bridge in Prague. Normally you'd be bumping into people constantly trying to cross https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/czech-republic/prague/prague/old-town-bridge-tower.html

Here's Rome's Trevi Fountain, normally 20 people deep all around the 3 sides https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/fontana-di-trevi.html

And Piazza di Spagna with the Spanish Steps https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/piazza-di-spagna.html

I am familiar with 2 of those 3. Then I started clicking around and seeing places like the rialto bridge and piazza san marco completely empty... spooky as all getout. End of march isn't exactly high tourist season... but still, san marco is busy every day rain or shine, low tide or high -this is the square where you always see pictures of people in boots/waders or just swimming around in the daily flood.
