Wanted to do some reloading for the 380 that I am getting this week but before I started them I needed to load about12 45-70 with 405 grn lead, then 20 308s and finally the 86 rounds of 380. Towards the end of the night those little bullets were getting had to handle. Going from 55 gns of powder to around 4 gns of powder per round. Think about this, a 10% variance in the 45-70 load is a complete load in the 380.

I have 2 -RCBS powder throwers, one for rifles and one for pistols. It was more going from gripping the 45-70 cases to the small 380s that have been tumbled in a media with polish mixed in it. Also, setting the bullets on top of the cases. I grab a handful and start putting them on the cases. A hand full of 405 grn lead vs a hand full of 90 grn XTPs.
