Remember that an AR-9 lower is different from a regular AR lower!

Wanted to change out the pistol grip on an AR-9. Took out the screw that holds the grip to the lower and there was 2 springs in there. Turned the lower on it's side and the rear take down pin falls out. What the hell is going on here? The back plate that holds the detent and spring is still on the tube.
Then I remembered that the AR-9 detent pin and spring is also on the grip. No hole in the pistol grip for the second spring. Tried to get another spring in and the grip kept bending the spring. Then it hit me, when building the gun, I had to cut the spring about in half to get it to fit.

I was getting ready to tap the hole in the lower where AR 15 rear take down spring goes and there is no hole.
