So I haven't ever had a true gun belt. Getting an axis holster from tier 1 during the black Friday sale and need a gun belt to go with. The belt I use now is thicker leather but I want one that doesn't just use holes in the belt.

Iā€™ve been plenty satisfied with my steel core belt from $30 gun belts.

I'm not a fan of holes becaus I always seem to be in the middle of two sizes of them. I also lift a lot and gain and lose weight rapidly depending on the season

Two best options in my opinion:

Fat boy belt from twofoolsleather and our own GunBelt

Kore Essentials Click belt.

What he said, except just the first part.

If you donā€™t like holes, the man the Kore Essentials Gun belt is a good option. Comfortable, easy to adjust. And rigid.

Www.klickbelts.com the reinforced belt with cobra buckle is hard to beat

I have a Kore essentials gun belt too and I love it, but with the holster you are getting it wonā€™t work well. Youā€™ll want something without a buckle and that blue alpha gear belt or a similar type is perfect for a holster like the Tier 1 axis style.

I've been considering this belt. I've been using nylon belts for 15 years but they've come a long way since and I'm shopping.
I like the buckle. I don't wanna have to rip velcro apart everytime to pop the belt open.

You'll love it. The belt is super stiff & the buckle is awesome. Lifetime warranty & free shipping. Don't hesitate.

How well does it marry to holster loops? What I mean is, are you able to snuggle an owb leather pancake up against you all tidy or does the stiff belt struggle with allowing the holster to ride next to you. Does that make sense? I've had belts so stiff that it was like trying to weave a leaf-spring through the holster loops.

To be honest I bought this one to be used with a Raven Concealment Eidolon with the over hook struts. They just clip on over the belt. If you used a standard belt slide style holster you would have to take the buckle off every time & thread the holster through & then put the buckle back on. Probably not what you're looking for. I use a Wilderness Tactical Instructor belt when I carry my Raven Phantom holster. That being said the Blue Alpha is just as stiff as the Wilderness Tactical & I've never had any problems carrying with the Wilderness. The holster rides high & tight against the body 100%.

Like @Derek8404 said, they make a Low Profile version without the Cobra buckle & I would think that one would be easier to use with a standard belt slide, although it does use velcro for the fastener.

+1 for Kore.
1/4" step eliminates choosing between strangling and drooping.
They have casual and dressy gun belts.

Awesome. I know about having to de-buckle to get the weave through the holster and really that doesn't bother me too much. It would be only that one time when I left the house, and with maybe some minor velcro adjustments through the day, I wouldn't have to mess with it again until I came back and took it off. The Bison belts I've been using over the years pretty much make you do the same thing so I'm used to it.

Then the Blue Alpha is definitely your ticket. Let me know if you grab one!

I grabbed one of these on sale at Midway a while back. Have barely used it, but it is very well made. Buckle looks like the one above.

Why don't you use it?

Oh, and as a side note/warning...I've seen these kind of belts on Amazon that are blatant Chinese knock-offs. Less than $20. You don't even need to touch one. If you look carefully at the pictures you can tell they're crap. I'd stay away from these.

I have 2 nice leather gun belts for my normal carry. I have a crappy 5.11 belt for when I am working on the woods at the cabin. The viking belt is in a backpack I keep in the car. If I ammin work clothes with a flimsy dress belt and need a 'real' belt it is close by. Bought it for hiking, go bag, or possibly taking a class. Which I need to do. I have worn it twice at the range.
