Now the '03-'04 Terminator thread -

If you're talking about the light gray inserts in the charcoal seats, I am determining after five days of ownership that it must be cloth in these Cobra seats. Speaking of, you might be able to help me. My driver seat on the left side where it gets rubbed getting in and out the leather is surface cracking and I've been looking for a "charcoal" colored "repair, renew" kind of leather product that will have a satin finish and won't come off on clothes after applied. Any thoughts on that?

I'm pretty good with hand applied finishes if I just knew which one would be the best to get.
I was refering to pic 16. Lower right side black panel of seat back. Those lines are stretch marks of the belly. Belly leather is inferior & should be scrapped. Just like all stretch marks its a weak area. I've got a truckload of belly leather that is good for nothing but a few dog collars. I see it in leather seats all the time from all the mfg's. The only lasting fix is to have the panel replaced.
The product your talking about I seem to recall hearing about but don't have any knowledge of. But most old time upholstery shops will replace panels. I'd use Lexol on it maybe Montana Pitch Blend to extend the life a little longer. @fieldgrade
I've sewn new seats for my 72 Cutlass & wanted leather but went with quality vinyl the same stuff Mercedes used for a while. If I still made a set of correctly done leather seat covers with no belly leather the price would be 3 grand plus just for the covers & would be made from horse hide. Not installed.

Exhaust plumbing arrived today while I was in Harnett County making a joyful noise, of the firearms variety. It's all combustion. Just a different sort.

These are gonna sound good. They're not quite straight through, but almost.

That's an interesting looking bong... Did you name it "The Wizard?"
Don't laugh. I found at least one cleaning out a dorm room yesterday. There are three room mates, all who I've known since they were in 8th grade. Needless to say no one's claiming it, LOL.

Installing an exhaust system in the driveway is a pain in the hindquarters.
Did I get those mothers square, plumb and level, or what? :)

The serpentine belt that also runs the blower only had 29K miles on it, but it was 13 years old, so I replaced it today. My favorite shop quoted me 3-4 hours to do it, plus parts.

I took the guard off (10 minutes), ordered the part, waited two day for it to get here, and put it on in 15 minutes. I think when my shop quotes me like that they just don't want to to it.

They wanted 3-4 hours to do the bolt on exhaust too, which I did in my garage under jack stands. Would have been a quick job on a lift.

You got that beast running yet?
Exactly like I want it to. If it doesn't rain with the cold front coming through Saturday morning I'm taking it to Cars and Coffee in Morrisville.

Let me know when you're ready to start swapping pullies. There's a site with belt part #s for every upper/lower pulley combo.

That one's at the outlet mall, right? We might show up.
They've got a facebook page. Just google Morrisville cars and coffee. Its visible even if you dont do facebook. 8-11.

I've convinced myself to stay stock (aside from the exhaust, and shifter knob:)) but I'll get bored at some point and I'm sure we'll talk. :D

We wouldn't know... Some jackass won't post videos with sound!!!...LOL

I've just got an iPhone. I can film it at idle, but what you want to hear is wind, supercharger, and exhaust all together at about 5,000RPMs in second gear. My wife is scared of the car whenever I get above 3000 rpms so I need to have someone else in it with me who can video it. My son will be here this weekend, I'll get him to do it on a spin with me.

Congrats! Need to get a pulley and a tune, then let it eat.

I had a 2012 GT that made 645hp and looked stock. One of the funniest cars I've own besides my EVO X.

I got the supercharger because after I got my Mustang my Dad got this. 13' with 4k, 2k I've put on it.

Mack Littleton has posted a "walk through" video of the Morrisville Cars and Coffee on the book of faces. Geeze, that is a big lot and it's full! I didn't see some of the exotics that show up in Greensboro from time to time but it was a great turnout!

@fieldgrade I think I saw the Mustang but I'm not sure.

@trcubed I did see both Alfas. I probably know the owner of the yellow one.

Thanks Don! Here's the link for the whole show.

It starts getting good at two minutes in, but gets really good at 4:20 BECAUSE THAT'S MY CAR. @trcubed and @Stentor listening to me blather on about who-knows-what while we're standing behind it.

A part of me questions those numbers. I have the same pulley, and then some. I've not had a true dyno tune done yet, but with a modified tune from my Predator, I don't think I've hit 500 yet.
The numbers do seem... "ambitious".
