Apparently you didn’t get the whole gist of most post. It’s not vehicles in general that’s the problem. Its the drivers. It’s the ones that gun it in the straight stretch. They’re already loud and then they get louder plus breaking the law at the same time because they are speeding. Has nothing to do with normal people that have common sense.

I currently live in the same stretch but about 350 feet off the road and it still annoys me. I hear the crotch rockets when they turn on the road. Then they hammer down and are super loud and annoying. They can’t drive normal.

I get it, we’ve all been there. Just have to hollow up at some point and put others first
 
I know I came off as a jerk there, but loud exhaust is just a part of life and the urge to use the state to punish anyone annoying you is a better fit for a neighborhood with an HOA than here.


Automating the process shouldn't be allowed; at a minimum an actual human officer should have to witness your violation before you can be punished for it.

I fulling agree. I think the state should stay out of it. But I also think that people should have a decent courtesy and not be loud and deafening around other people. There’s a time and a place.
 
Noise volume from the exhaust is a direct result of the throttle. Most motorcycles aren't 95db as soon as you crank it up. My motorcycle is louder than stock but I've never had a neighbor complaint. So my opinion is this is one more area the government needs to stay out of. Think of it like we do guns, the noise is not the muffler's fault anymore than the killing is not the gun's fault.
