We will be offering the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home course.

This course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective, and responsible use of a concealed handgun for self-defense outside the home.

This is not an introduction to pistol shooting. You will be expected to know how to safely load, manipulate and shoot your handgun. We will not have time to diagnose or teach basic shooting skills.

Once your registration is received, I will send you a Square invoice for your course fees. Once paid I will send you an email with details about the class and what you must bring with you (guns, ammo, equipment, etc.). You will need a personal handgun suitable for outside the home personal defense (revolvers .38SPCL minimum, semi-autos 9mm or .380 minimum) with a minimum of 250 rds factory ammunition; 2-3 magazines (semi-autos) or 2-3 speed loaders (revolvers); eye & ear protection; knee pads or kneeling mat. You must have a strong-side inside-the-waist band (IWB) or outside-the-waist band (OWB) holster with good retention and a concealment garment as you will be drawing from concealment for most shooting exercises and qualification. If you have access to a conceal carry purse, bring that also.

The course fee is $250.

You can sign up here or PM me.

I used the link to sign up but it asked for BSA ID number and I am no longer involved in Scouts so is that a problem?

Reactions: Me.
Still have a couple of seats. This class is a go we have enough to run it so would like to finish filling it up.

We moved this for the hurricane remnants, so I still have a couple seats open.
