A man killed five people, including an 8-year-old boy, with an AR-15-style weapon Friday night in an angry response to his neighbors’ request that he stop shooting in his yard while their baby was trying to sleep, Texas authorities said Saturday.

Of course WaPo had to add: The shooting renewed calls from gun control advocates for a federal ban on assault weapons, which have a unique ability to destroy the human body.

Crazy people gonna crazy! Definitely a horrible incident though. Never know what the hell is going through people's minds. Would like to know more back story on these people though. Pretty disgusting all of these recent shootings. WTF is wrong with people today?

More than a few have suggested that the sheer number of such events in recent memory is not statistically a valid situation, and could have nefarious underpinnings.

Thousands of people are murdered every year yet I can count on one hand the number of convicted murderers that are euthanized.

Texas use to be one of the top 5 state with the highest death penalty cases (since they are 2nd in population also it kinda follows) AND over the last 5 years have put down more POS’s than all other states combined. If/when they catch him Texas is a one place that will be odds on putting the POS’s down … after years of appeals. I’m kinda pulling for a DRT type capture.

that would be an international incident, and mexico might frown on one of their hard working folks trekking north just to work and support his poor family down in the home country. or something dumb
