Picked up a Odessa 9 for a demo can. I really like the whole concept of these. Clears the sights, lightweight, stainless steel , and modular. Low to mid 120 dB's with subs.

None at all. Just got back from running 9mm 147 grain handloads. Ran ike a champ. Exceeded expectations.

I have the same on a G19.

I also liked the concept, but mine wants to start coming apart when I'm shooting.

I feel like I can't trust it unless I glue the pieces together. And I really don't want to have to do that.

Even tightened with a wrench? If anything the one I have are almost too tight on thread specs

Yes, sir.

I'm just going by memory, but I believe the instructions tell you once the numbers are aligned, you don't need to tighten it further.

I'll find the manual to verify.

Here's an insert that was included with mine.

It takes very little "torque" to get the numbers to line up and as a result, after a few magazines, the numbers won't be in alignment.

Edit: I didn't realize I cut off the bottom of the image, but the left side picture is "correct" while the right is "incorrect."

I have one and enjoy it but the dang thing is always coming loose. at every single thread point. I have to tighten it every 50-100 rds. Cycles well with every ammo I’ve shot out of a G19. Nice and quiet, 7 baffles is how I run it 99% of the time as it best balances the number of baffles against the weight and balance.

Ever tried Teflon tape? Or a drop or two of clear nail polish?

I’ll try that out on my next trip. Thanks for the tip.
The yellow Teflon tape is a little thicker. I’ve never tried it on something like an Odessa, but I use it on the barrel threads with direct thread cans (and thread protectors).

I’ve never personally used nail polish, but have seen it recommended for similar applications.

I dont personally think it makes a damn bit of difference if the hash marks line up so I just tighten them so the dont come undone. If I did think it makes a differe, it doesn't, I'd Loctite it all together and leave the last 3 unglued in case I want to take them off, I wouldn't.
