Off to another month in hell

Hope it goes well. I just returned from a couple weeks in Kosovo which turned out to be one of the roughest trips of my career. :(

Is it bad that I'm fully expecting one of your posts here to eventually say "Glorious chairman of the party has graciously allowed me to apologize for my American imperialist ways from the people's reeducation camp!"

All kidding aside, take care!

Nope. Too many young PhD's out there now. And there is ahe discrimination once you are over 55. Young managers think everyone over 55 should be retired.

Sorry to hear that. I got a job offer doing something completely different and for less money that I am thinking about taking just to get out of where I am now. There are many other non-monetary benefits. I do not know how you do those trips. I would honestly miss my wife too much. She might not feel the same way :).

I'm trying to figure out how much less we can afford to take.

My prison cell this time.
Heating in the bed room. No furniture or heat in the common area. Kitchen does had a gas stove. So far I'm the only one in the entire apartment.

Crunchy sheets?

China vows to crack down on funeral strippers
Some hire them to boost numbers as high attendance seen as a way of honouring the deceased

That's it...I'm never going back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you saying you have been to a funeral that featured strippers? It sounds like it might be story time folks.
At this point in time, I don't have any such recollection.

:D

So how is the pool at this place @fishgutzy ?
Will's Fitness has one roped lane. It has a sign saying "Fast Track" but the Chinese do know what fast means. I've shared the lane with 5 other people all doing a slow breast stroke. They hang out at the ends of the pool and rest for 5 to 10 minutes before doing a couple more laps. A few actually try to swim.
They are all shocked by how much this old guy swims. And some even ask for tips, if they speak some English.
The pool is at a "better than nothing" grade.
22 meter length but the sales people are told it is 25 meters. They hate it when they are told they are wrong. They are not allowed to question management.

Is that elevation change right?

If it is, you won't need a stair machine on this trip.

Shanghai is pretty flat. The elevator change is going over a bridge.
I can't walk too much due to degenerative osteoarthritis in my feet. It hurts when I can't flex my big toes.
