I watched that going down the road the other day and it caused me to hit my brakes
Deer are stupid.
A deer hit my car one night. The DEER hit my car, not the other way around.
She ran across the road, from right to left, headed for the median. I stood on the brakes to miss her, then kept slowing down after she went by because where there's one, there are likely more to follow.
She hit the grassy median, immediately did a full circle at full speed, came BACK out into the road and headed RIGHT FOR MY CAR. I was almost at a full stop when she hit the front, driver's side, shattering the headlight, slightly creasing my hood, and busting up the grill.
I was getting out of my car, pistol in hand to put her down, when she jumped right up and ran off into the woods.
Stupid deer.

Because deer are stupid.
She ran across the road, from my right to left. When she got to the grassy median, she turned to her right, running the same direction as my car, then cut back into the road in front of me and turned right toward my car.
One big circle, with me as the target.

Almost like a deer with a homing torpedo for a head.
The deer in my ~50 yr old neighborhood are pretty wiley. I think natural selection is at work here.
Ever encounter turkeys on the road? Much much dumber. I got surrounded by a flock pecking at their reflections in the various shiny bits of my car.
