Was rereading the August 2020 issue of Guns Magazine a little while ago. Namely the article entitled "Be Prepared, Rifles for Troubled Times".
In it, the rifle reviewed is the Ruger Scout Rifle in .308 Winchester, all fine and good, well known rifle in a common clambering, magazine fed, accurate, and so on.........

And as I sat there reading what I've read previously, the proverbial light went on......

I've been giving considerable thought to adding a 6.5 Creedmore to the collection. And wouldn't you know it, the long gun setup I'd spend the coin on doesn't exist.....

I mean how badass would that be? A Ruger Scout Rifle in 6.5 Creedmore.........?

Well, behind the power curve am I.....

It appears that Ruger did make them in 6.5, for Davidson's, in 2018.............

I'm always late to the party......

Get a Ruger M 77 in 6.5 and do a box mag convention. Cut the rifle barrel down to whatever you length you want.

I like my Scout in .223. I'd doesn't beat me up during a long range session. It is a bit heavy but that weight helps to steady it for off-hand shooting.

My brother in law (6 yrs of smith school) just finished building himself one. He shot a few rounds local to sight it in and then went to SC and rang the mile bell a few times on the second outing.
