Old Forum?

Oh, I did change some to say nasty things about the owner's wife.
I never cared for her, but she was always 'protected' by the staff and members because of who she banged.
Well you know what they say? It's who you know and who you blow that gets you ahead in life. And that's why I'm just a nobody. LOL

Yeah, I remember that lady. She had absolutely nothing to contribute to the world of firearms, firearm ownership, or the shooting sports. But would rush onto the forum to complain about some major cultural upheaval that she was seeing, and then get offended when people dared to disagree with her, and if pressed too hard she would get her husband to rush to her air like a knight in moronic armor.

I went back to Canada on a deletion run, but couldn't delete my posts, only edit them. I edited over a thousand posts to "x" & haven't been back.

I decided not to give them the traffic, even if it's just to delete my content.

For me it was worth the minuscule traffic I added and a few minutes to delete all my posts and PMs. The ones I couldn't delete I did the "x" thing, but with a period. Although I seem to recall some posts I could not edit at all. That way none of my posts (the relatively few useful ones) would help bring in future traffic for them. Of course, I doubt I had as many posts to go through as a lot of other folks here did. ;)

Yep, I got warnings for going 'against' her on some issues.

If they really wanted to, its 2 clicks to undo a post edit. Just an fyi

Maybe so.
But are they alerted to every post edit?
And if it's a post from a 1 year + ago, would they ever notice?

Yeah, it was worth it for me to give them those 'clicks' and traffic one last time. Get whatever terrible content off of their site.

I have no idea. I was just making the statement that if a mod or someone with "capabilities" wanted to, as they were browsing around threads, it would be pretty easy to just restore any posts they wanted to keep intact.

I will say this: I honestly believe that the whole affair became a defining moment for the gun community in the Carolinas, and separated the wheat from the chaff in those who believe to the core of their being that Men and Women are born Free, and that the Second Amendment is central to their remaining so.

We’re the highly distilled, 190 proof spirits of the gun community- and proof that there are men and women among us who, when a line is crossed, will not hesitate to stand up and do the things that need to be done.

In many ways, this particular incident in the history of Carolinas gun forums gives me hope when looking towards a darkening horizon that is the future of our Country.

I just wonder if she looked like A Jolie's Tomb raider character.

We found out too late it was all done to drive traffic so they could get a higher price when they sold the forum.

Her shit threads got people to post lots of responses. It wasn’t real which makes it even worse in a way.

I just thought they succumbed to a moment of greed.....I didn’t know it was a damn plan that used the membership like that. Wow.

Those two really did deserve everything and more that was sent their way in the aftermath.

Oh it went further. The whole removal of nudity from the humidor was planned to attract a buyer.

The refusal to ban certain crabby members was because they drove traffic.

The list goes on and on. We just didn’t see it all and put it all together until after the bomb was dropped.

We're in the open forum so I won't say what I really think now knowing that (I was on the road when it happened, didn't see it until the Good Guys struck back (and half my content was conveniently taken care of for me) and they had started sanitizing things heavily.

Unreal.

Ah those were the times were they not.

I forgot the nonsensical arguments from her. Good times maybe but these are better I believe
