It's time I buy a portable sander for little woodworking projects
Ive used a mouse-shaped Ryobi in the past...it was ok (borrowed from a friend)
But Im wondering if I need to get a square type or an orbital or what

Again, little woodworking things, just to smooth things out
Will have to be a Ryobi product as that's the system Ive bought into

I have a makita corded square type that I have had for years and did ok and recently picked up a milwaukee m18 round orbital. The cordless is nice not to have a cord but other than that It seems to be just a prefrence on which style you like. The round is a bit easier to change paper on but thats kinda splitting hairs but did seem to hold up better. The square does allow you to get into some corners better. Fyi Did recently discover you can take air hose and blow nozzle and blow the paper off and continue using it for a bit longer if its just loading up with paint or dust.
