I watched a documentary on Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan shoes, and liked it.
Im not a basketball fan, or a sneakerhead, but it was good.

Jordan was the first basketball player to have his own shoe, and from an unlikely manufacturer - Nike.
At the time they werent really involved in basketball, but they took a risk and created a whole new line of clothing.

They hoped to sell 150k or so shoes - first year was over a million.

But with it came bad things - people fighting, and killing, over a dang pair of shoes.

Anyway, it was just a good watch. Im not saying it's something I'd watch again, but I did enjoy it and learned a lot.

Dr. J had his own line of shoes before MJ.

I also enjoyed the documentary. It of course has an agenda and a spin on things, but I think it was well done. I liked seeing Dennis Rodman again. He’s a real one-of-a-kind sort of man.

Youre right, I mispoke. They actually had a part about a guy named Clyde or something and his shoes.
But I guess this was different in the marketing and being so different than the others (including how they were quickly banned).

This was NOT the huge series about the Bulls and Jordan, I havent seen that yet, hear it's really awesome
This was just on the shoes

ANd, like you @me said, there was some spin near the end, but I dont think that hurt the doc really.

I had those shoes
I grew up at the salvation army, and DrJ did a little event where us boys from the community center got to go to to do a photo-op with DrJ and get free shoes. I was too young to really appreciate what was going on, but i remember it being cool. But I had those shoes.
