Sent my wife's CCP in for the recall service.
Notice a little issue when I tried to verify it was serviceable for EDC.
Tech forgot a critical pin that holds the trigger assembly in place.
Sent this picture to Walther. A Gun tech from customer service reported in less than an hour. He could see that the pin was missing.
So it is going back again.

The weight of the gun probably barely kicked the package into a higher rate class for shipping. Removing the pin probably saved them a bundle. ;)

Nothing lighter than a hole.

Guess that means they also didn't inspect or function test it before they sent it back. Well done.
Simply chambering a round, popping the mag to +1 it would have reveled the problem. A round fell out of the mag well when I popped the mag out. Never did that before the recall work.

What do you mean by 'serviceable for edc'?

Walthers customer service is the best.I asked them for a battery cover for the factory laser on my wifes p22 and they sent me a new laser free of charge.

Sorry you're having to go through that for a petty issue like a pin. Where did you buy it? If you bought it at an LGS, they may be willing to just fix it right there for you as long as that is the only issue. PBR does stuff like that if they have the part on hand. My guess that pins like that would be part of standard armorers kit.

I tried to get a AR22 (licensed to Colt, made by Walther, branded Umarex) repaired once.
What a joke.

"Its dirty"
"New parts will be $100, we will cover labor"

I told them to just send it back broken.
It's all I could muster.
They miraculously made the repairs under warranty...
Got it back and it was much worse!!
The old parts were not returned.

Brought it to a local gunsmith, $30 later it ran like a top.

Never again Walther.

What was the turnaround time?
I have one to send in and I have been putting it off for well over a year.

@TripleO7 My mother in law dropped my wife’s P22 on the concrete at a range. The slide was locked to the rear, and it landed on the rear right (or left...been 5-6 years now) slide, and the impact forced the slide forward, shearing a spring on the inside and forcing the slide lock down between the frame and the pseudo carbon fiber material it’s skinned with causing a huge bulge.

Walther repaired all of it free of charge

Sorry you’re having issues, OP

Life happens. When things can be fixed, it may be inconvenient, but better than the cost of replacing. :D
I stood a lot of replacing on my 93 YJ. Excuses for upgrade when something broke.
