Opening day ML Coyote

We had maybe a half dozen or so start singing around sunset last night.

For as eerie a sound it was, the deer at the feeder never even looked up.

Weird question, what do you do with the remains?

I'm pretty sure you don't eat coyote...

We could tell you, but we’d have to move this thread to the basement

My Stetson has 13 of those pretty canine teeth on my hatband. Yotes were taken in the Wind River Valley, Wyoming. Skulls were boiled till soft enough to remove teeth. My friend sells the pelts.

Rantingredneck,

What are you shooting through your Muzzle loader ?

250 gr. .45 cal Hornady SST's in sabots over 2 777 Pellets (100gr.)

I buy the SSTs and sabots separately in bulk packs. It's cheaper that way.

I've killed a metric ton of deer with that load and never lost one. Most crumple where they stand or within a bound or two. I think the only one I've had to track was about 50 yards and Ray Charles could have followed that trail.

This 'yote and several others have fallen to it as well. This one dropped where he stood and kicked twice.

I had a similar experience today.
A pair walked by and I was able to get a shot at one. It was a female.
