I currently have a Taurus Millenium G2 9mm.
I really like this pistol.
I have a 9mm carbine as well.
I have been thinking on selling both and buying a PSA Dagger Compact and a sub2000. Since they take the same mags I thought this would be a better setup.
I have not handled a Dagger but see the comparisons online. Dagger is a little bigger but not too much.
How do the two compare on the firing line?
Anyone have experience side by side?
I don't carry currently, just for home and range.
Any info is appreciated.

Dagger is definitely thicker in the grip. I'm not a fan of the SW style hinged trigger or the palm swells in the grip, so I ended up selling the PSA lower and using a P80 instead. Nothing wrong with the Sub2k but I prefer a 9mm AR. By the time you put a decent optic mount on the Sub2k it's main benefit (folding) doesn't really work any more.

Ok, thanks for that.
I like the G2 grip.
Are actual Glock G19/17 grips the same as the Dagger compact? If so, I will just go handle some.
I am not concerned about the folding option on the sub2k, just that it used the same mags.

If you don't need the fold I'd get AR bits and build a 9mm Glock mag rifle/pistol then.

You may have seen them already, but if not.. check out the gen3 sub2k. The new folding style allows for optics to remain in place. See 2:08 min mark on the video below:

I consider "adding" a great big wing at 90 degrees to the rest of the bulk not working any more. If you want to fold it, it's probably going in a bag or cubby and that hanging off the side isn't gonna help.

In regard to G2C and the dagger, I have shot both and they are both good guns in their own right. Either will be fine and are comparable with (IMO) the dagger having the edge when it comes to mags and available parts/accessories. Speaking of mags, I am also a fan having guns that use the same mag / matching ammo (Marlin Camp 9 / S&W 59, Glock 9mm / Sub2k, Etc…) and I would probably go with the Dagger to match the Sub2k in this instance (nothing wrong with the Taurus!)

I used to think this was over rated.

Picking up an Extar has swayed me. I can grab a Glock double stack 9 in whatever flavor feels right, a handful of standard mags and long mags and be pretty damn well armed.

Mcarbo sells fold over mounts for optics for the Sub2K that work really well.

Sub2000s are great, but IMO only if you are going for compact storage or concealment. There are other options for a Glock mag compatible carbine with much better ergonomics and are more upgrade/attachment friendly. I'm not a fan of the gen 3 Sub2k with the rotating foregrip, the original fits in much tighter places and IMO that's the whole idea behind that core design.

Have a look at the Just Right Carbine as well. Also the Extar EP9 if you're wanting a braced pistol or SBR. And for something completely different, check out the Mechtech pistol uppers, but you'll need a Glock lower.

I have a gen 2 SUB 2000 myself. A few points to make:

- the sights are a bit low and not the best to use
- more perceived recoil than you might expect from a 9mm
- dead on reliable with cheap Glock clone mags of all sorts
- not to be used with steel cased ammo per Keltec
- they are getting really cheap now with the gen 3 coming out 300ish

The gen 3 actually has more changes than just the deletion of the sights and the twist mechanism:

I have about 1.5K rounds through the SUB 2000 now, not one issue yet. Just FYI.
