Hey! Has anyone used (or even heard of) Gerber collision repair? A lady rear ended my Subaru Forester and that is who their insurance company wants me to use for the estimate and repair. It would be the Cary location.
They give some kind of lifetime guarantee on the repair if I use their preferred place.
But I have never heard of this place before. I know a good body shop that I have used in the past, that I would use instead if I can’t get a good review of this place.
(Damage is minor - smashed the spare tire well because her car went under my back bumper. So a lot of the damage is hard to see.)
Thanks!

You have the right to choose here in NC. Insurance is always going to recommend the place they want too. Pick whatever place you like just make sure you inspect the final product.

Edit. Most shops warranty their work nowadays anyway.

Gerber is one of the largest non franchised collision companies. I'd check out the local shops first.
When I worked at Hertz RDU they used Coats, family owned since 1974 in Raleigh and Garner and John's near RDU among others.
