The original made for Jeff Cooper by Milt Sparks is the single best holster for the 1911 platform...FOR ME. You will find many on the market made by Galco and at least 6 or 8 more name brand makers. NONE are like the original. The give away to tell if it Is the original is..the entire holster is made of ONE piece of leather. All of the ones now are made of at least 2 pieces and some sewn and some screwed together.
While this may sound like a trivial matter, sometimes nothing works as good as the original. You can go to YT and see the Old Master shooting on his Donga Range as he walks along engaging targets. As I have told several people I an tell more about a man's familiarity with his side arm by the way he reholsters than by the way he draws his gun.
One last thing...there is a member of our community that can Exactly duplicate the original Cooper-Sparks Yaqui Slide. I am certain more of our fine leather artists on CFF could also and I am certain there is a market for The Original. They sell thousands of the ones that aren't right, surely folks will buy the real deal. I and Mine will.
