Owner of Flintlock Range at Uwharrie has passed

Range closed until a new operator is found to take over.
That is according to El Dorado Outpist when my son called about range hours.

I thought the range was owned by the park.

Anyway, if true, and someone in that area wants to take it on, there is an opportunity.

The property is owned by National Park. The range is operated by NCWRC and is re-opening to the public tomorrow.

A new RO has been hired. Perhaps the article your son saw was something about the passing of the previous RO and search for replacement.
