P365 XL

I get the enthusiasm for the P365 - it's small. An XL model that substantially inflates the size of the P365 makes little sense to me. The XL's premise seems doubly dubious when it has the same 12-round magazine capacity as a regular P365 with an extended magazine. And it seems even odder when viewed in conjunction with the announcement of an even larger capacity 15-round magazine for the P365.

Other than the much lower capacity walther pps rms there are no other factory subcompact optics ready options. I am curious to see how the Romeo zero compares to the shield rms models.

As mentioned earlier, Iā€™d like to see the 365xl next to a g48 to compare sizes and where it once again proves it provides a better overall package.

I have a P365 and like it. Having said that, the xl appeals to me as long as it maintains the same grip circumference. The P365 I have has a comfortable grip circumference for me, but it could stand to be a little longer.

Comparisons with the G48 would be very interesting since I like it as well. Some nice choices!

Seeing pre-order prices in the $579-$599 range, but hopefully that will come down once the new-car-smell wears off. If it's intended to be a direct competitor of the G48 then I'd expect prices to be similar

I got to fondle a P320XC today. Quite an amazing trigger IMHO.

Cheating on the revolver? Loo
Just being optimistic about my future. :D

Actually, my friend put that new Sig and a new externally hammered Kimber K6 in my hand today. Two very impressive devices.

Hey Jep, you takin tha bait?????????????????????????
If the XL has the trigger I experienced on the P320XC, I may just hafta do it. But, Iā€™m not in such a hurry this go round since Iā€™ve promised myself to shoot nothing but the 66-1, DAO, for the balance of 2019. Havenā€™t even shot my carry gun this year.

Old bear and I have been shooting 66s and 65s today, Pure JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 50 yard head shots!!! 4 outta 6 DA only. Other two dropped into the throat and high chest.

IMG_2972.JPG Finally put a few mags through the 365xl using the 12 rounders. The 15 rounders look and feel funny in the hand I do like the trigger much better than the regular 365 just need to find a holster fer her. Romeo zero optic will be here Friday

Where did you get a 365XL? I didn't know they had been released yet

I'm going to get one. I figured they have the exact same trigger pull as the original. If the trigger pull is less mushy and more like a real Sig then that will be huge. The metal frame Sigs have excellent triggers, the plastic ones are not nearly as good.

Jeppo, what was the asking price?
If Iā€™m not mistaken, it was something like $579 or $589. That was a store not particularly known for burning-low prices. IIRC, Iā€™ve seen an email offer at around $550. Iā€™ll post up again if I can find it.

Trigger pull is a smidge better but not as curved as the regular my local gun store in hickory got it 2 weeks ago and called me the optics are supposed to be readily available at the end of the month

The 15 rd mags are out in circulation. Iā€™ve handled one in a forum members 365, the mag looks a little funky and clunky.
Having said that I carry the flush 10ā€™s anyways with a couple 12ā€™s nearby. Having a 15 rd or two near at hand is not necessarily a bad thing.
A great gun just got better, imo.

Not to worry! I just got a call from FG&G telling me they had one with my name on it :D

Picked up my new 365XL this morning, together with a couple of 15-round magazines. @BatteryOaksBilly, you need to get your hands on one (belay that - two) of these. I love love love the ergonomics - the 365 feels more natural to me than any other pistol, and the XL with longer sight radius, longer grip and slightly heavier weight is even better. We are soulmates.

Now, the trigger on this example is not as good as the one on my standard 365. The pull is noticeably heavier and more gritty, flat blade or not. And they are sure as hell proud of those 15-round mags ($49.99 ea. at FG&G ). I don't care. I'm confident the trigger will improve with use and if it doesn't, we can make it better. And the magazines will come down.

It's like women (if the ladies will forgive the analogy) - you like em all, and some you really like, but when you meet THE ONE, you don't care if there are minor imperfections - it's love.

Oh this is making me want one even more.

Thanks for the heads up Red. I'm mullin on it. Please promise me you will shoot that gun ALOT. Those tiny guns are Hard for me to shoot. I do like the 365 with 15 round concept. Thanks again. Billy

Just seeing this. If my memory is correct a CZ 75 Compact and all its various versions have 3.8ā€ barrels and great ergos. Who needs a 3.7ā€ copycat? :p
