Meanwhile, I recently got my first prism optic... PA 3x ACCS GenII. Haven’t shot more than a mag through it yet but I like it so far.
 
@charliesgrave , I picked one up a couple months ago. If asked to review, I’d simply copy/paste yours.

Mine rides on a 9mm SBR where I just need a single aim point.
 
I was excited about the cyclops when they announced it, until I saw the reticle. I have the PA 2.5x prism and the ACSS works well in it, but the reticle is just too small in the 1x. The Swampfox Optics 1x offering is, IMO a better, albeit unique, approach to the 1x prism optic. The target market is LEO and HD and is designed around durability and usability. I just picked up a red reticle one and couldn’t be happier. It is also offered with a green reticle. Really great glass, great reticle, bright illumination, shake-awake electronics, and seems to be built like a tank. https://swampfoxoptics.com/prism-scopes/ There will be a 3x version released later this year, and rumors about a 1.5x aimed at the commie rifle market. Great news for us comrades with astigmatisms. The marketing director for Swampfox is a former PA guy - there’s a huge thread about it on arfcom.

first time I’ve ever seen a 5, 10 and 15yard indexed reticle. That seems really odd way to market it. I get what they’re saying, but who is going to think “hey, is that bad guy 10 or 15 yards away “

At those distances you'd think the mount height over the bore would play havoc with those measurements.

Any decent sights in this genre that aren't made in China? It won't break my heart to pay Trijicon money if I have to, but I'm done with China to the extent I can be.
 
RANT warning.
I hate these gimmicky overly busy reticles on 1x optics.

Learn your optic offset. For anything a 1X optic is useful for, you’re not going to have time to dick around looking for different aiming points.
Most of the time it should be a target focus anyway.
And I hate big thick illuminated donuts, for several reasons. Meh.
Less is more with these types of optics, IMO.
 
@Johnny was here Sunday past. I got to use the first magnified red dot I had held in my paws. 3x, quite the handy tool. For MY use I'm stuck on fixed power. This thing he had was about 8 inches long, I believe a Vortex? I love for folks to bring stuff in so I can have Personal info on the product. This thing was the cat's meow!
