I've got quite a pile of old Pachmayr grips. Standard procedure was to remove and dump straight into the grip box. For whatever reason, they are growing on me now. Maybe they are finally old enough. Ha. Anyway, a 3rd generation Detective Special looks and functions okay with Pachmayrs. Might start using them.

Let me know if you need to refill that rubber grip box.

I love the old streamline D-frame Pachmayr's like the one on the right. Had a set on a Diamondback in .38

A few Pachmayr grips thrown in here and there are OK...I guess

Speaking of grips....stopping by Badger grips tomorrow to pick up some unfinished Goncalo Alves Colt D Frame and Smith K frame grips.

I have always really liked the Badger grips but occasionally wanted them to be less slick. Unfinished with my own light coat of tung oil will be perfect.

I can remember when putting a set of Pachmayr grips on a S&W was considered an upgrade...

Yes Sir That! I remember looking at S&W model 25 for sale not that many years ago. I asked if they had the factory wood grips for it. Answer was, "No. This one has been upgraded with some nice Pachmayr Presentation grips." Uh, OK.

I'm a fan of Pachmayers as well. Have them on my 2.75" N Frame 45ACP. Also have used them on the 45ACP/Colt Redhawk and the Colt D Frame Agent. About the only revolver that I have that I prefer the Hogues on is my Ruger GP 100, my IDPA gun.

Hmmm...wonder if any of them would fit my Rossi R46202. I think they actually make them, model 03147. Although, a nice wood set would be a good combo with the brown CJ holster.

I prefer the Pachy Grippers, I think they are called, for K frame.

With the covered backstrap the grip feels more vertical to me, which I like for getting a high grip. I knock off the finger grooves mostly. Looks ugly and the cork sniffers on S&W forum would be angry, which is an added bonus.

Had the S&W smooth targets on my 686, which looked great in pics and were completely useless for any kind of practical shooting.

Anytime I get a S&W, I take the nice wood off, put it in a ziplock, and put it away in the safe, and the revolver gets a set of pachmyers or hogue grips right off the bat.

On S&W's, I can't decide which grips I like best. I keep switching between the open and closed backstrap pachmyers, and the standard hogues. On my rugers, I like the hogues best. I've currently got the closed backstrap pachmyers on my Redhawk, and I really want to switch them out for hogues.

I know I'm in the wrong section but this is related. My 92FS has Pachmayr grips. Been on the pistol for 25 years. In my opinion, they were a huge improvement over the plastic grips that came on it when I bought it new.

I like my pachmayr's.
Best gun I ever put em on. Ever.

Makes it almost like a real gun, instead of that ribbed-for-her-pleasure thing they put on at the factory.

Same grip fits the 41 mag
