It's an ad flyer for USSCA (but doesn't say what that is).

The Post Incident Wallet Card I do NOT agree with. Point out evidence and witnesses??

This whole thing is like a scare tactic almost

Point out nothing.

Proper identification, nothing else til an attorney representing me is present.

End of discussions unless they want to talk about the weather.

And yes it is a "scare tactic". Designed to get your attention. It worked.

It kind of conflicts with 'don't talk without your attorney present'
Hard to imagine that under that sort of stress you'd be able to ID witnesses or evidence without making some sort of statement that will make your attorney cringe.

It got my attention because I disagree with it and the solicitation. Didn't scare me in terms of being an uneducated concealed carrier.

I agree with your protocol though.

it helps to prove your fear for life by wetting yourself before the cops come, defecating your shorts will get you bonus points

that's my battle plan
Can you pee on the bad guy instead?

my question or concern is making sure my wife children etc follow the same protocol. Doesn't help much if you say nothing and your wife or kids are trying to give a full run down of what happened. That needs to be ingrained before hand IMO.

Great point

The NRA is pushing something similar with their US Carry something or other. I think it's a bit of a joke.

I recall in a video by Massad Ayoob that he suggests that pointing out obvious evidence, such as a weapon used, will help direct their investigation and that it is not a safe assumption that they will see it themselves. This is especially true if say for example, their buddy ran and dropped a weapon in some bushes.

I have a USCCA membership and it's a good idea to have that insurance given this day in time BUT I don't want any extra solitications in a box from a gun I buy. I used to get annoyed by the NRA ones so this one is really no different. BUT as a tactic to recruit and advertise I guess Tim Schmidt and Crew are thinking inside the box (no pun, ok a pun intended)

I've read that USCCA is a good one. They pay up front for bond, retainers, etc, correct?

It's my understanding that the NRA endorsed product has the insured shelling out the cash and then they have to recover it from the insurance company.

I don't mind the solicitations. Just like half the crap in my e-mail, I just trash it.

I remember seeing that as well....http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/20/massad-ayoob-5-things-to-know-after-a-defensive-shooting/

I have a similar statement, idea of what I would say / do... it's something you should practice in your head.

You are correct. The amount they will front you comes from the level you have purchased.

I'm not fond of the flyer either. But, maybe USCCA pays PSA to include it in the box. If so, I can live with as long as it helps PSA keep their prices low.

Those have been in their shipments for a while, I always threw them away. Speaking of PSA, what's up with the Farrow Rd. store being "temporarily closed"?

I've often thought of changing my screen name to "ThreadKiller". Anyway, I bought a Galco holster today and the same advertisement for the same outfit was inside the packaging (not bought at PSA). I did go into the PSA store on Fernandina Rd in Columbia today and asked about the Farrow Rd store. I was told to go to hell and mind my own business. Just kidding, they are supposedly moving it to an old Piggly Wiggly on Hardscrabble, complete with indoor range.

I didn't know the answer lol

I don't have a problem with the card. Just keep it simple and to the point. Then shut the F up and let it play out.

The card is a simplified print of what Mossad Ayoob says to do ... and many CHP instructors say about the same thing. Here's a little more in depth script from Ayoob that that card should help you remember.

On the contrary , I feel that flyer should come in every gun box.

Might drive home the point to folks that training, and researching laws is important. I don't like dealing with all the dopes who think buying a gun makes them John Wick...

This is a dangerous hobby, and I'm fervently of the belief training is needed... I'd like to see it instituted in high school, but I'm not optimistic about it... :(

That pantload should keep you out of the back seat of the nearest cruiser.
