I write one check a month, and that is to the mortgage company. I keep a copy of all the cashed checks in file. About 20 years ago my parents paid off their mortgage, after the original loan was sold so many times. The last lender sent my parents a letter saying that they still owed about 3K. My mother called them and explained that she had copies of each and every check for 30 years, them seemed to figured out it was truly paid off.
Do one a month for my mortgage (specifically, to transfer funds from one bank to another for my mortgage).
I can digitally transfer to my credit card balance, but I have to use a check and digitally 'capture' it with camera function for the checking account that pays the mortgage.
Know what else I do rarely but is just as satisfying as writing a check - paying 20 a year to help support this great community.
