Love me some Parmesan cheese on pizza..spaghetti..baked ziti..
Some of the powder stuff is ok, but meh.
Really like the real cheese they use in the restaurants.
What's the go-to with the cheese heads?

Bought some today. They sell it in blocks or wedges. Ask the folks at the deli.

Wife just made a chicken and cabbage casserole. You heard that right. Wow, was it good. Roasted chicken from the supermarket. Dukes mayo cooked in. I had no idea. Cavenders seasoning, garlic...
And lots of PARMESAN cheese.

Parmigiano-Reggiano. Buy a chunk, grate it as you need it.

Grated is better than the crumbled. The canned stuff contains saw dust, meh. We use a lot of Parmesan so we get the big bags of it at Costco and it’s decent for most stuff. I like me a good Alfredo sauce too.

I get a nice wedge of Pecorino Romano and Parmigiano Reggiano at BJ Club and also at Publix on sale. I use food saver vacuum container to keep it fresh.

Not a fan of Pecorino but I’ll second Parmigiano Reggiano and also cast a vote for Grana Padano (if you can find it).
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grana_Padano. Costco is also a good source for good cheese.

Some advise is that Parmesan is not something to cheap out on. You really do get what you pay for. Having said that, my wife buys some quite respectable pre-shredded Parmesan at Aldi. I don’t know how they do it at the price.

Cabbage is one of the most underrated vegetables our there. We've done a similar casserole with chicken, cabbage, and bacon.
Doesn't last long.

This one is a favorite too... Cabbage, blue cheese and beef.... we've elevated it before by using some sliced steak.

BelGioso or something like that is good too. Reggiano is really good. I only buy it when its on sale. Dont get me started on cheese. I like it all except blue.
(insert joke about fromunda cheese)
you folks would like it here. wife keeps small blocks around so she can shred fresh, then also some packages of pre-shredded for when she's lazy, but also also some packages of shaved for her salads. And the standard plastic cylinder of powdered kraft stuff for me because i'm not picky.

Try coarse grating the Parm and placing on a silpat sheet or parchment paper in a cookie like placement. Some like to mound it like a ball but I spread it out a lil and bake at 400 for about 10-15 minutes in a preheated oven. Remove and let cool to eat straight off the tray or cool for later or garnish. If you remove them while hot they can be formed into shapes and stuffed. Any hard cheese works but its hard to beat the Parm Pizzelle.

Use those still warm on burgers instead of regular cheese...
