Good patches are expensive now. My favorite was Winchester patches, 2" x 2" which I bought at Walmart. No lint or strings. Made of T shirt material I think.

But I think they've been discontinued.

The next best I've found is Southern Bloomer. Around #35 for 1K patches. Very much like the Winchesters so I pay the price.

Old hokey Tighty- Whiteys and crew neck tees work well, for both gun rags and cut into patches. 100% Cotton is great stuff.

Indeed, if I had the patience to sit down and cut my own.

I have a dedicated t-shirt I wear while cleaning firearms. I just cut a couple patches from the shirt’s tail. 🤓

You jest, but I’ve been cutting up my retired undershirts for patches since I started shooting.
