Paula my wife

Prayers for Paula. I know the pain. As was said before, don’t wait for the pain to start building up, that’s too late.

I am so sorry to hear that... I hope her surgery has gone well today and that she has a smooth recovery.

Hope she heals up fast and does not have too much pain.....will pray for you two.

Must follow docs orders to the letter, and the rehab therapist. Pain meds are for a purpose. Must move around when the doc allows, don't want clots. Stay hydrated. Went through this when the Chicken Lady had her hip replaced. Get her a good walker, a stand up walker if affordable to you. A bedside potty and a raised toilet seat help also.

As @REELDOC said, keep her moving per doc's orders. Blood clots are no joke.

Thank you all for prayers and well wishes. It has been one week from her fall.
Just to update, Paula is making some progress.
TMI but I will be glad when I don't have to help her go to the bathroom, that's love.
@Qball the dumplings are awesome. :)

You mean this isn’t exactly how you’d pictured your first stage of retirement? :D

Not really.
You funny man - not. o_O;)
She / we are making progress.
But in all seriousness (helpfully previous comment didn’t come across the wrong way)...His Providence is always easier to spot in hindsight. I’m glad you’re there for her and things are progressing.

Glad to hear she's making progress, and with your help, to boot!

Basil,
Heather and I are so sorry to hear about Paula. You and Paula will be in prayers.
Joe
