Thanks, I agree. The factory finishes was very thick and unevenly applied. It was tough to get off. I did not want to be too aggressive sanding and remove too much stock material. I was looking for a milsurp kinda look to the stock and I like the way it turned out.

I converted my old 14.5 to a 9mm using Faxon’s 14.5 barrel with the integrated flash hider, and feeding from Mean Arms endomags. Runs like a top.

Built this awhile back, my donor was an Stoeger 1873 .45 carbine. Cut the bbl, mag, replaced the rifle buttstock with a carbine stock, fit an 1876 carbine forearm to the ‘73 bbl and action, the bbl bands are krag bands. Made it to resemble the ‘76 Centennial Carbine the Rafe Covington [Tom Selleck] carries in Crossfire Trail but it can be also made to look like a 1873 Spanish Contract Carbine [a real rifle that Winchester built for Spain]. Made the leather buttstock shell carrier too. Bought a Uberti open top and Schofield as part of my impression. Will hold 10+1 Schofield loads.

Finally finished this. P80 lower, Rock Slide upper with a plate for the optic and wings to make charging it easier, Sig Romeo Zero (although it's possibly faulty, it doesn't seem to ever turn off) in a Recover brace I tweaked to fit the P80 (got it before they did one specifically for it). I've got the tall optic mount and like the slide mount better.

Feels great now I just need to find somewhere to finish sighting it in and shoot it.

Just finished some mods to the old Camp 9. Removed the magazine disconnect, now mags drop freely. Fixed an issue with the safety and put the rifle back in the original Burch
wood stock after removing the old stain finish. Went with 4 coats of hand rubbed BLO.

I have 2 C9s and a Camp 45. I love these carbines! They are a ton of fun to shoot and are real handy to keep around.

Just remember everyone if you get one of these check the buffer BEFORE you shoot it. If in doubt replace it! Much cheaper than replacing the stock. Just ask me how I know… I learned the hard way.

Ok pic thread. Finally figured out a light and button combo for the Scorpion.
Left side: Unity Tactical Hot Button on a Fernilabs Ohm mount to offset it. I can only use the rear MLOK slots because of the can tuck.

Right side: Arisaka Inline with an Arisaka 300 body and Malkoff head.

New Frontier Armory MP5 pattern AR9. 3" barrel with trilug and yes, that's my Octane 45 tucked under the ALG rail. I can't wait to shoot this thing. Oh and the receiver extension folds too, the lower receiver has a built in folding function.

They make a fake Suppressor that is all aluminum and makes it look really cool.
The long barrel looks like crap and a can on a long barrel like that looks like crap.
Just not ready to SBR yet.

Here’s my 16 inch Marlin .45 colt trapper. As short as I could go and get 10 Schofield loads in it. If I can get it to run .45 cowboy specials then I might go shorter but then it would need sbr paperwork. I need to update this photo.
