Pedersoli Trapdoor Carbine Questions

Hello!

I have a couple questions regarding one of these guns, I believe they are basically the same as Uberti, and I will probably have more questions to add to these.

1) The big screw the hammer rotates on? How tight should it be? It's working loose after cocking it a few times. Should it be loctited?

2) How much gap is supposed to be between the hammer and stock if you flip it over? In other words, the space between the rotating part and the wood? No space meaning unable to move (hypothetically)... I was just wondering if mine was excessive.

The big screw on my H&R Trapdoor moves with the hammer.

The hammer is very close to but not touching the side plate. The hammer does not touch the stock but comes fairly close. I do not know how much space you rifle has and can not say whether it is excessive.
