Me to! I’m doing some sketches tonight. Can’t decide if I want micarta or wood for the scales. I do plan on leaving it brut de forge finished.

Ain't no rule says it can't be both. Wood for the base with micarta on top of that.

It is time consuming.
I made this one from a vintage plow blade. I don’t have any more of those lying around. A sheet of steel in the size necessary would be expensive- though I might be able to get a couple axes out if I had the pattern water jetted.

That is a cool looking tool. I’m now trying to figure out how I can justify it to mama. I don’t cut firewood so that’s out. I’m too out of shape and lazy to use for self defense. Hmmm.
