I can't invite you to join me, as I'll be a guest of another member...but wanted to give anybody that will be there a heads-up.

Two of us will be shooting some 22LR from 8-9:45ish tomorrow morning. Hoping to be on one of the tactical bays, as we only need 50yds for the rimfire challenge distance.

I know last time I was there somebody else was over on the rifle range and we didn't know each other were CFF members. So, stop by if you're around. White Dodge Ram with camper shell is me.

That was me. I’ll see if I’ve got somebody to watch the boy. If so I’ll come

If someone is interested I’ll be alone and would take you as a guest.

Would love to but I have this thing called a job keeping me from shooting but I have to go to it if I want to shoot...
I have two of those...

But I also get 33 days of vacation from the day job, and when I take it 2 hours at a time it lasts awhile. :D

If pistols are welcome, I'd love to be part of the noise. :)

If you still got my # shoot me a txt or pm me and we will work it out. I’ve got another buddy going that I’ll be introducing to the ar platform

About 5 minutes after I left, the conf call I needed to be on got cancelled. Wish I could've stuck around for a bit.

Nice to meet some new people.

Ive got the paperwork printed out to join, just have to go to that monthly meeting they have next month if I can!

Not sure how crowded it is on a Saturday but it sure is a wonderful facility.

If you don't mind...will you ask if there's a waiting list, or if I can join as soon as I meet the requirements?

I sent an email in December (IIRC) and never heard back. I did get a contact number from a CFF member but I haven't actually called.

I don't think there is a list. I joined in september and they didn't mention anything about it. Also If you need a signature let me know and I will sign yours too.

@BigWaylon how'd she shoot?
Meh.

Started out semi-decent. Then fell apart when I went to shoot the monthly targets. Will admit some could've been me rushing, but some wasn't.

All I tried was CCI SV. Probably want to try some others. Also only tried it with the Sparrow mounted.

First five shots based on boresighting the neighbor's trash can are at the bottom...next five in the middle.

The shots on the numbers above were also after shooting this smaller target:

Took those pics while the targets were still hanging. Haven't taken any pics of the challenge targets. But, I missed some by an inch, in all four directions. Probably expecting too much...I'll admit that. Just because I can see it better (18X vs 7X) doesn't mean I'm going to hit all bullseyes.

I took it out of the box, one patch through the barrel, then shot the top target above. I think I'd like to lighten up the trigger pull.

I think they only take new members in September, i think thats when they have the open house event.

From my own experience......the CZ 22lr barrels tend to shoot better groups after putting 15-20 rounds down the pipe. I dont clean the bore very often....

The open house is when you can get it all done in a day. They take new members throughout the year.

Paperwork/attend meeting and get required signatures/range orientation then if approved you get your membership.

Doesn't look bad. I would definitely check out other brands of ammo. The yodave trigger kit definitely is an improvement.

There isn't a waiting list. You can go to any monthly meeting and submit your paperwork (downloadable from their website) at the meeting. You will need two members to sponsor you. I've seen attending members sponsor people they didn't even know. I don't know if the sponsoring members have to be in attendance when you submit your application but I am pretty sure they have to sign the application. They will take your initiation fee and 1st years membership dues and schedule a time when you will do a range tour and "safety brief".

September is the best month to join because that is when they renew memberships. I don't think they prorate the yearly membership fees but I could be wrong about that.

The website will tell you when/where they meet (I think it is the first Thursday of every month but not sure) and provide you with all the information you need concerning membership.

I will say it would be nice to get some more "like-minded" members out there, so come on out and join.

If you want to use my name as a sponsor, and knowing you, I would be glad to help just as long as I don't have to attend the meeting. The last time I went, I wanted to beat myself in the head with a framing hammer after about 15 minutes:eek:.

After joining, is attendance at meetings mandatory? That would be a problem for me...

I don't own a framing hammer. :(

[emoji23] No, thankfully a member doesn’t have to attend the meetings.

Too late. I already ordered one from Harbor Freight just in case. Lucky for me, the hammer will probably break before my skull.

Not only do you not have to go to the meetings after the first one, you don’t even have to go to the range. Just send them your dues once a year and they will send you a membership card and the gate codes. Trust me, I know.
