$20 regular competitor

The match consists of five stages. Stages involve the use of rifle and pistol in a USPSA-esque practical shooting environment. Total round count for the match is no more than 200 combined (rifle and pistol).

Shooters are divided into five divisions, based on their rifle: Centerfire Optics, Centerfire Irons, Pistol-Caliber Carbine, Heavy Metal, and Rimfire. Pistols are unrestricted and may be used in any class.

Setup: 8 AM
Registration Opens: 8:45 AM
Range Officer Walkthrough: 9:30 AM
Safety Briefing: 9:45 AM
Match Start: 10 AM
Match End: 3-4 PM

During the Tactical Match we run a cold range. When not shooting, all firearms must be unloaded with chambers empty and magazines out. Chamber flags must be showing in all rifles. If you don't have a chamber flag, they are available at the match.

NO ARMOR PIERCING OR GREEN TIP PENETRATOR RIFLE ROUNDS ON STEEL TARGETS!

I'll be there this month - I'm signed up on squad 4. Thanks for posting this.
Please bump this thread when you get those equipment guidelines up.

NEW RULEBOOK!

Nothing major has changed, however there were some issues that simply weren't covered by the old rules, so an update was needed. Take a look to familiarize yourself with the rules.

Items of note:
- Equipment divisions have been solidly defined.
- Grounding procedures have been defined. These are similar, if not identical, to other multi-gun formats.
- Pistol stabilizing braces addressed.
- Binary triggers, bump-fire, full-auto addressed.

Will there be any steel rifle targets? I would like to use steel cased 5.56 but I think that has metal jacket.

There will be steel rifle targets.

Steel cased 5.56 is fine for use on our targets. In my testing, bi-metal jackets place the same or less wear our steel as standard 5.56, and we're not worried about sparks.

If I can find someone to watch the minion I will be there. Haven't shot in a long time.
