Pictures you took today

I’ll send you corn seed if you plant the whole thing in corn. It’s got so late in the year, I’m not going to plant corn or green beans
Just put the seed in the freezer and use it next year. Unless you have hundreds of pounds of seed.

I stated to buy some new seed this year, but when I saw the current prices, I dug seed out of the freezer. I planted 2 types of tomatoes and the seeds were 21 and 22 years old and they are just starting to put on blooms now. I planted some cucumber seeds that I had from a seed supply store that closed about 25 years ago and they came up just fine. The price on the 1 oz pack of cucumber seeds was 60 cent.

I haven’t pulled it out of the freezer yet for the year. I buy a 1 acre bag that usually last me about 3 years.

Not saying it’s easy work, but It would be nice if log truck and dump truck drivers would brush off debris or rocks. Caught this pic, after pulling up beside this truck. This mess was falling off and peppering my car, as I was literally on my way to get my windshield replaced from a rock smash (rock fell off a passing dump truck pulling a backhoe).

And these are the trucks that the DOT just watch go by. But have a single light out and the come running for a full inspection.

Just a side note.

Ever see those trucks with the "STAY BACK 100 FEET NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BROKEN WINDOWS" on the back of them?

Yes, they are.

BUT...they're sly about it.

They are 100% liable for the securing of any load they carry, period. (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) If debris from their truck causes damage to your vehicle, they are responsible for it. So the question is always one of proof.

People hear that if the rock hits the road FIRST, then the trucking company is not responsible. Not necessarily true, but it's no coincidence that they put that "STAY BACK 100 FEET" statement there...anything which falls off is very likely to hit the road first and bounce considerably before hitting your vehicle. It's very much more difficult to say that the debris which cracked your windshield came from the truck instead of something already on the road that was kicked up by the truck tires.

However, if you have a dash cam which catches debris falling off the truck, then the source of the debris which cracked your windshield is very difficult to dispute.

Why is it dump trucks never have visible license plates.
Q: I have noticed many dump trucks do not have a license plate on the back. Isn't this illegal? A: Dump trucks don't need to have tags on the back because trash could make them hard to see, said an N.C. Department of Transportation spokeswoman. Dec 26, 2013

The eye roll is powerful with this one.

If the trash on a dump truck makes the license plate hard to see, then mayhap the truck ain't loaded correctly.

We used to have a dump truck for roofing. The license plate kept getting ripped off when dumping so we just quit putting it back on and kept it in the cab.

I posted some pics of a collar I did Monday that was headed to a rescue pitbull in Ohio. I told the guy to send me some pics once he got it and put it on his dog. He had to give Charlotte a little ice cream in a bowl to get her to stop long enough to snap a quick pic. View attachment 772942
