It is not true. The frame is most closely related to the Czechmate. Although it is slightly different than that gun. And, it is different than the Tactical Sport, with machined checkering, newer trigger guard, higher undercut and beaver tail, and full uncut dust cover.
The Orange is sort of a one off with no other models sharing the frame.

Okay gents, as promised, while it is not the best photo at least I managed to get all seven of them in the same photo. From upper right reading down Springfield Range Officer, Springfield 1911 A1 Loaded, Remington 1911 R1, Kimber Pro Carry II, Upper Left, Ruger SR1911 with threaded barrel by Storm Lake, Commander size Ruger 1911 with Crimson trace grips, Sig Sauer 1911. These are just the 1911's that are in the collection.
