Daughter and boyfriend came over today. He wanted to shoot his Beretta. I about forgot how. Couldn't even remember what model CZ I have. It's the SP01 - Combat. Got rid of those nasty night sights in favor of fiber optic front and target rear from Czech. Put a box of shells into a tight apple size circle at ten yards which surprised me. Must be a good gun, but not quite a Sig maybe. The hole goes right behind the glowing green dot instead of right above so I just accepted that and kept at it. The boy asked for her hand in marriage. A long drawn out expression of heart felt commitment and devotion. Well I figured that was going to happen but never expected such a formal play. It was almost embarrassing for these modern times. She's selling her townhouse; expecting multiple offers, one over asking in already. Bought a lot to build a house near Winston. It will have a basement where he can stay until summoned, etc. The jokes were hilarious and kept on coming when we were all together in the kitchen. It was such a simple wonderful hour or two. So much luck and good fortune. Even my target looked good.

I tried to square with my wife's dad ahead of time, but i didn't see him often and my wife just wouldn't take the hint of "maybe you should go to the bathroom before we go" or "hey do you think we need more XYZ?"
I called him to apologize for not talking to him before, but he suddenly understood why I had been acting the way i was and was good with it.
