Pistol Scope vs Red Dot

Looking to put an optic on my Super Blackhawk trying to decide which way to go. If i go red dot it will have to be prism due to astigmatism.

I have astigmatism, and find that the holo reflex type sights are clear, esp compared to a tiny 2MOA red dot. Might want to look into those also.

Thanks i will check them out. It kind of freaked me out when I first looked through the red dot that was on my mark III I thought it was messed up and I was the one messed up

Check out the dual illuminated (fiber optic/tritium) Trijicon mini reflex offerings. The non electronic dots don't bloom as bad for me.

I have an astigmatism as well, and the bloom of a red dot sucks. I have a vortex that doesn’t do it to bad, but a Burris I have is terrible for me. I hope you find one that works, I would like to know myself for future purchases.

I did find one for my 10/22 takedown and relatively cheap its a Monstsrum 3x32 prism it has worked out for that application. They run around $80 Decent for a rifle now back to the pistol thing lol
