Places that don't want our business.

BWW is posted near where I work, too...but in VA, those signs don't carry the force of law, so I ignore them.

Why do you ignore the sign??? They are specifically stating that they don't want you in their establishment/business by putting up the sign, so why would you still give them your business, and your money???
In SC it is against the law to carry in a posted establishment, if it has the correct, mandated signage. But even if they post their establishment with a home-made sign that doesn't meet the legal standards, I still take my business, and money elsewhere.

Who eats at Taco Hell any way? Not enough meat in the meat to classify it as meat!

I do for two reasons:

#1. Chicken chalupa supremes, substitute nacho cheese for sour cream. HOLY.COW.

#2. Doritos Locos Tacos supreme, basically hand-held taco salad. AMAZING.

Apart from those menu items, I have no interest.

I ignore the sign because I want my B-Dubs.

When I'm in SC, I follow the law in SC. That means B-Dubs, if posted in accordance with SC law, is off limits for me when I'm carrying and I don't go there at all when I'm not carrying because of that. With one exception: when my youngest daughter wants to celebrate her birthday there.

But you wanna know something? The B-Dubs in SC that I've been to DON'T post in accordance with SC law at all. They post their own cute little corporate sign which says (and I'm paraphrasing, here) "Buffalo Wild Wings prohibits firearms in this establishment". Which. Is. NOT. In. Accordance. With. SC. Law.

So, guess what the Chief does in SC? Yep, he legally carries his weapon in BWWs when he goes.

When I'm in VA, where my job is, the law there is different. In VA, the signs don't carry the force of law, so I could care less what the businesses say unless I'm specifically told to leave. Then I'll leave.

When it boils right down to it, nearly every business will have something about it that I object to for one reason or another. Maybe they carry a line of product made by a company I don't like for some reason. Maybe they're owned by some huge liberal corporation. Maybe they beat bunnies with sticks to thicken and toughen up their skins so they'll make better furry gloves. Whatever.

We all make our choices.

Me? I'm no different. I make my own choices, too. If B-Dubs was REALLY all that concerned about this, then they'd get with the program and post their places of business in accordance with the jurisdictional laws. But, for whatever reason, they choose not to. Maybe there's a message there, because it's a helluva nice loophole.

I thought CHP holders were one of the most law abiding groups of people? After reading this thread it sounds like they may be the group with the most vision problems. Maybe I should stop by the eye doc?
I know! I'm starting to wonder if anyone actually passed their CCW shooting test. Tell the truth who here really got theirs from Sally Struthers?

You call the NC shooting part a test? A blind man could pass that.
I distinctly remember taking my class 1 week after my 21st b day. When we went on the range the girl to my right was bobbing and weaving all over and waving her gun around and had no clue. Wouldn't surprise me if she ever shot before, the instructor walked over and said to me "son what's wrong you are supposed to be qualifying?" I pointed to the girl and said not with her next to me. Somehow she still passed. Scary to say the least.

Went to a theatre in Southpark, and it had a tiny gunbuster like 3" x 2". My wife and I ignored it. However this place searched bags and we didnt know until we had paid. She promptly had to leave her bag in the car and I made her buy an IWB holster

I stopped going to manchester in Rockhill when they were searching bags for Gu..er CANDY to keep us safe. I called before going to star wars in December and they had stopped the practice. If some pimply faced, indoctrinated kid opened a bag and saw a scary firearm, what would they do? Cause a panic probably. IN any case, I don't carry in theaters and will use theater employees as cover since they are there to protect me.

In South Carolina, the rules are specified to exactness. The only thing they left out as far as signage goes is which direction of the compass it should face.

Zombie thread arise.

I was just in Carolina Alehouse in Garner. I had forgotten they are posted. Too bad. I otherwise like the chain.

If you are at a restaurant and “didn’t see the sign” and they somehow notice your concealed carry and ask you to leave, they have to say you are trespassing, right? When that happens, do you have to leave immediately? No time to wait for, say, paying for dinner? Just curious. I never see any signs, and nobody ever notices I am carrying.

You tell me to leave, I do not pay for the food. This if it there no sign. Has a sign that place can kiss my behind and my money gone.
