i took my current crop of pocket pistols to the range. I've already sold two G43's...

Kahr CM9
Ruger LCR 9mm
SCCY cpx-2
S&W 642 PC 38spcl

Kahr wins first place again for me. I shoot it accurately (grapefruit groups point shooting at 5 yds) and pretty quickly (empty gun on target in 2-3 seconds from low ready) despite DAO trigger.

642 was next best for me. PC trigger is nice! bigger groups, slower reloads than Kahr

then LCR

very similar to 642 w a bit more recoil

then SCCY

big groups jerked the heck out of the heavy trigger

reaffirmed the Kahr as my primary pocket and travel gun

might sell LCR and SCCY...

interested in getting P365!

Was it actually heavy or just L O N G? The one we had here had a wonderful trigger, just L O N G. Yes, I said "had". After 900+ rounds it went to a new home. I can honestly say it was the best $175 auto pistol I have ever shot. 18 out of 20 headshots at 25 yards with lotsa witnesses. Geezer and I had 2 problems with it in the first 50 rounds. We took it straight from the box to the range. After the 2 malfs we cleaned it and lubed it and the next 900 went through like crap through a goose. Happy in it's new home.

Good question! I think that it is mostly heavy compared to the Kahr, but it also a matter of "feel". I have to pull them again tonight side by side, but part of it is probably consistency and smoothness as well.

The cams (or whatever magic they use to make their triggers so smooth) are just sooo much better. I'm betting that the pull (and actually the reset) on the Kahr is almost as long, but feels like night and day to me.

The Kahr weight and resistance feels the same front to back and despite a long reset, the trigger resets itself quickly and naturally for me. Feels like the trigger is "gliding" over something. The SCCY feels like it is compressing a spring which gradually gets harder and the reset feels less positive.

Could all be BS...but you can't tell me how I feel!!!!

Nice, I got my wife a Kahr PM9.

Why did you get rid of the G43's?

The G43 is fine. Honestly, I just did not shoot it as well as the CM9, plus the CM9 is a fraction smaller and lighter.

you send it to me, I'll shoot it…

vp9c, I have had most of the guns that were on the list and the only ones that I kept is the SCCY (for the car) and the PPS. Granted, it is a little big for the pocket but great to carry on your belt.

Went to the pistol range the other week. We just added steel at 25 and 50 yards. I happened to have about 15 rounds of .380. So just for giggles I started shooting, and hitting, the steel at 50 yards with the P238. That was fun. If you have not shot a P238 you should. Just make sure your wallet is ready.

The only steel I could possibly hit at 50 yards would need to be a slab from the Queen Mary. :(

A member saw this post and offered up one of his extra sigP365s for sale.

I grabbed it up and just got back from the range.

I ran about 200 rounds of Blazer brass 115 and had no problems.

as accurate as any other 3 inch barrel semi auto pistol

with the flash magazine this thing is dimensionally almost identical to mine CM9. The only issue might be the few extra ounces.

I have a strong feeling that this will end up becoming my go to pocket/deep concealment/travel pistol.

I have small hands so my pinky does not overhang with any of the grips.

The trigger is crisp. sites are easy to acquire.

I only did up close shooting, but would not expect to take a 25 or 50 yard shot with this pistol anyway.

assuming that this thing does not explode and fail, I think sig really got something right with this gun

took the sig P365 back to the range today. I'm having a tough time coming up with negatives for this gun.

it was as accurate out to 10 yards as my full-size pistol.

this gun is definitely moving into my every day carry rotation.

I don't feel undergunned at all with 21 to 23 rounds of federal HST.
