I have been bitten by the Patriot Ordnance Factory bug.
They simply make amazing stuff.

Their latest endeavor is the Revolution.
Basically it’s a 308 AR-10, but they use almost all AR15 parts, resulting in the smallest, lightest, functional AR-10 platform on the market.
Additionally, since the bolt and BCG are taken from an AR-15, there is SIGNIFICANTLY less reciprocating mass, and therefore significantly less recoil.

I have one, and love it.
This discussion started off in another thread, and kinda ended up hijacking that thread.

So, obviously the bolt face and lower(magwell) are proprietary, it looks from the picture that the upper is a little taller than a standard upper, is that the case? Are those the only dimensional differences between the revolution and a standard 5.56 AR? Have you shot for accuracy? How would you compare it to similarly priced rifles? I think this might be my next major purchase. :)

Yeah man I was seriously eyeballing their stuff for a long time and almost pulled the trigger on one of their last models. Then the revolution was announced and I didn't want the "old" one anymore.

Then life happened and I smacked myself for almost spending that much on a gun lol. Some amazing videos of their products on youtube too!

The bolt face, and the lower receiver is proprietary.
It really is hard to tell the difference between it and a regular AR. I will post more pics soon.

I bought hit as my primary battle rifle.

I am a HUGE fanboy of POF, they just make the best stuff, lighter and more intuitive than LWRC.

Great stuff like ambi controls- the ping pong paddle on the right side and a built in bolt release on the left.
A proprietary built in bolt hold open in the trigger guard.

And little intuitive stuff, like a small recession just in front of the trigger guard to index your finger comfortably and still be lightning quick on the trigger.

Additionally, POF’s customer service is top notch.

I detest AK’s. They are peasant garbage.
Just a complete lake of any sophistication.
(Check out IraqVeteran8888’s meltdown videos- the POF 415 humiliates and annihilates the AK)

The only thing I changed from stock was the trigger. The POF trigger is very good, but I prefer a two stage with a flat bow, so I opted for the Geissele SDE.

I have the 14.5” bbl version, which I bought as an all around heavier than 556 rifle.
Next will probably be the 18” or 20” rifle.

POF makes cool stuff. I remember when they were pretty much just triggers.

7.3 pounds... My N6 is 8.5 in the 16" config with BUIS. Not saying a pound lighter isn't noticable, but I'd want to handle one before drinking the koolaid.
