Popping Primers at 50 Yards

Found a couple of dud 7.62x54R cartridges on the ground at the range, so I decided to set them up to see if I could make them go off. The primers had been hit, but it looked like a couple light strikes. Results were better than I hoped for.

Great shot(s)! At the 47s mark you can just see something fall to the ground, which turned out to be the ruptured cartridge case

I would have shot around it so many times I would have scared it into going off!

Friend once shot a live .22 round laying on the ground with an air rifle Case came back at him and cracked the stick stock by his hand. Same with cooked off rounds in a fire. The case becomes the projectile.
