Post-41F NFA Stamp Tracking thread

Form 1
Original Submission 7/16
Declined and Resubmitted - 12/16
Approved - 9/17

That brought back the frustration I felt when my first two apps (submitted at the same time) were denied for a stupid error on my part, corrected and resubmitted. I thought the first round of waiting was excruciating. Lol.

Call the NFA branch with serial number and give them trust name with serial. If they say they have nothing on it then give them your name and serial #.
The ladies that answer the phone are usually very helpful.

Finally called today and was told it is "pending". So I guess that is good.
Although I still don't know anymore than I did yesterday.

Sure you do. You know it wasn't lost between BofA and the ATF. You also (hopefully l) know if you submitted as an individual or entity.

I should have been clearer - I have no idea when I'm getting my stamp.

I know (both now and before I called) that I submitted as an individual. But she didn't ask me about that, and didn't mention that when she told me it was pending. So I feel like the call was not productive.

Received a good number of approved forms in today's mail. All were individual applications mailed between October 2016 and late February 2017.
We still have not received any approved trust applications back that were submitted August 2016 or after. Trust application wait times seems to be
slowly rising while individual is dropping quickly.

Y'all let me know when it gets back to under 6 months and I'll think about it...
Some individuals have already had that happen. March and April forms being approved.

Just one date point that I saw posted elsewhere. It's the first 41F entity approval that I've seen in awhile.

Okay, a glimmer of hope for Trust folks.

Form 1 Trust mailed 9/10/16
Pending 9/26/16
Approved 9/7/17
Received in mailbox 9/16/17

So, up to six months longer for entity vs individual.

I received my individual form 1 a couple of weeks ago. I think I mailed it in the same day as my form 4 individual application.

I believe @TARHEELSTATE remembers my birthday from my application and is waiting to surprise me in the next few days. Lol.

Called today and my form 4 is approved

Submitted 12-16-16
Pending ????
Approved 9-14-17
Silencerco Harvester

Now just waiting on the USPS to get the stamp to @TARHEELSTATE

My form 4 individual app submitted mid December '16 is still pending as of today. :(

Today we received about a dozen approved individual applications back ranging between 12/5/2017 to 5/27/2017.
Was not expecting to see the May 2017 application back approved already.

Picked up my Recce 5 today. I need to get it mounted and snap a few pics.

Scott also arranged a visit with my Revolution 9 that's still in jail and then sold me a TBAC 22 Take Down. Oh, he met my Dad, too.

Today has been a good day.

Any word on why they seem to be prioritizing individual apps over entity apps?

I've heard a lot of theories, most around them trying to discourage entities due to the extra paperwork.

Multiple reports coming from WV that they have most examiners assigned to individual submissions.

I don't know we'll ever really know the truth.

I am sure that this is the real story: "Most examiners assigned to individual submissions"
For us, 95% of our customers are submitting applications as individuals.

If I am the only person on my trust, and I just submitted a form 4, can I redo it as an individual?

If the form 4 is in a pending status then you can type and sign a simple letter stating that you would like
to withdraw the form 4. Sign, scan and email it to [email protected] . I had to do one for a customer last week
and it only took 4 days for the withdrawl to be complete. Takes another 45 days or so for the tax stamp refund
check to arrive.
